From a Workshop in Transylvania to GPHG 2026 – The Beginning of the Constantime Journey

Every meaningful journey begins with a single step.

For CONSTANTIME, that step started in a small workshop in Transylvania, driven not by the ambition to build a watch company, but by a genuine passion for mechanical watchmaking, craftsmanship, and the satisfaction of creating something that can outlive generations.

Today, that journey has reached an important milestone: CONSTANTIME Genesis has been selected to compete in the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) 2026, in the Challenge category.

For a young independent brand, this is more than participation in a prestigious competition. It is a confirmation that dedication, craftsmanship, and authenticity can stand alongside names that have shaped the world of horology for decades.

A Watch Inspired by Transylvania

Genesis was created as the foundation of the Constantime story.

Its dial draws inspiration from the elegant arches of Transylvania's medieval fortified churches and castles. Every dial is crafted entirely in our own workshop—from machining and finishing to painting and the meticulous details that give each piece its unique character.

The Roman numerals subtly reflect the gleam of the swords that once defended these lands, while the individually crafted hands continue our philosophy of creating components with the same care traditionally reserved for the movement itself.

At the heart of Genesis beats a Swiss manual-winding mechanical movement, chosen for its reliability, timeless construction, and the emotional connection it creates between the watch and its owner. Every winding becomes part of a daily ritual—a reminder that true craftsmanship is meant to be experienced, not simply worn.

Built One Watch at a Time

Unlike industrial production, every Constantime watch is assembled individually.

We believe that a mechanical watch should carry the personality of its maker. Each component is carefully inspected, adjusted, assembled, and tested before leaving our workshop.

This philosophy naturally limits production, but it also allows us to maintain complete control over every watch that bears the Constantime name.

Patience Learned Long Before Watchmaking

Before founding Constantime, I spent many years working as a chocolatier.

Although the two crafts may appear completely different, they share fundamental values: patience, precision, consistency, and an uncompromising attention to detail.

Working with fine chocolate taught me that excellence cannot be rushed. Every process has its rhythm, every detail matters, and small imperfections become immediately visible in the final result.

Those lessons now guide every watch that leaves the Constantime workshop.

More Than a Competition

Being selected for GPHG 2026 is not the destination.

It is the beginning of a much longer journey.

We see this recognition as encouragement to continue refining our craft, developing new ideas, and proving that an independent watchmaker from Transylvania can create timepieces appreciated by collectors around the world.

CONSTANTIME was born from passion.

Today, it is evolving into a brand with an international vision—while remaining faithful to the values that inspired its very first watch: authenticity, craftsmanship, and respect for mechanical watchmaking.

Genesis is our first chapter.

The story has only just begun.
